where i work, cell phones can and do interfere with the radio waves/telemetry that are used to monitor patients in the
cardiac unit.
out of 10 times asking, politely, for a visitor NOT to use their
phones within the building you will be verbally attacked 7 times.
"i'm really sorry, but if you need to make a call, could you make it from outside the building, your call might interfere with the patient monitoring equipment."
"HE/SHE just used THEIR cell phones"
"Those signs are too small"
"who made that stupid rule?"
"I asked the doctor, HE said it was o.k."
"WHO ARE YOU TO TELL ME?"
"I saw the sign..."
"I'm on an important call right now, the office needs me!'
"What's your name, I'm gonna talk to the supervisor!"
it's great technology, wasted on chowderheads who have no sense of decorum, rules or being polite.
and i am waiting for the first case of someone sticking their phone under a lady's dress and taking pictures....lol...
build it, and they will be dumb....
