Like Daisy, I cried when I read this story, not only just because it broke my heart to read of this poor, precious creature shut up and thrown in the trash like that (yikes!) but also because there have been times when I might have taken in another homeless cat and did not.

There is a little black cat, almost just like Catman, who showed up at our building over the last few days. He was hungry and cold, and my landlord and I gave him food to eat. It's a dilemma, though, because I have a cat with whom I have been bonded for over eight years now and I could not see breaking her heart by bringing in another one. But this little guy who showed up on Sunday really touched my heart, and I keep praying that he will be okay. I have not seen him since then.

The story about Catman shows that God has His eye on the sparrow and on all living creatures, great and small. I just have to have faith that the little black kitty at our building will find a loving home, too. (Who knows, maybe it will be mine after all? I just cannot forget about him.
