When I started this thread I had no idea just how bad the rain would get or how it would affect us but Thursday night, it got really bad and while I was in the kitchen making Christmas goodies, I heard the most awful bang type noise. A van had lost control in the rain and slid into the telephone pole in front of our house. It also took out our chain link fence but that isn't the bad part. The driver was a 44 year old man and he had his 14 year old daughter with him. He was killed. She is fine physically. I just went outside with the pups and the chain link fence is just twisted metal and in the middle of all that mess is his licence plate holder still stuck to the fence.![]()

I feel so bad for his family and that poor little girl. So please everyone, remember drive cautiously in the rain and check your tires, they say his were very worn.
