Hello again, I have tried everything to rid Jet of these horrible scabs. Nothing is working. His scabs are covering his body and no Vet can figure it out. It a bacterial infection but…Besides the 4 vets we have tested for cancer, yeast, fungus, allergies, mites, fleas, stool test, thyroid and allergy. We have tried:
Simplicef
Thyroid
Doxycyclcline
Prednisone
Cephalexin
Cipro
Cortisone shampoo
4% chlorahexidine shampoo and betadyne
diet of fish, nothing else
colostrum
zinc zinpro
fish oil 4 per day
Nutrived OFA granules
raw food diet
6 months treatment from a natural Eastern Vet
bought all new bedding
Something is causing his scabs. It started 2 years old now he is 12. Nothing is working. He does get 1 1/2 teaspoon of glucosimine / chondroitin every day X2 for his hips but has been getting this since 1 year old.
Anyone? Maybe it's time to realize this will just not go away no matter what I do.
