awwww

that brought tears to my eyes

reminds me of our Beezy beeze

it broke our hearts when we lost Teddy.

But I know now that we had to lose him so that we could give a loving home to the dog no one wanted

Beezer was found as a stray and honestly I dont' know how he made it. he is such a timid gentle soul.

When we went to see him he was wild as they come. He fought the shelter workers and they had to carry him up the stairs and in the room he actually bit one of the workers (it wasn't a vicious bite.. she was trying to stop him from tuggin on his leash and he tried to get a better grip and got her finger and she was bleeding from it). At that point I honestly didn't believe that we would be bringing this wild dog home.

We brought Belle in to meet him and they got on instantly. Even drank out of the water bowl together.

but they warned us that he would not walk on a leash and that is why no one would adopt him. he went wild on the leash

but they gave us an opportunity to walk him outside with just us and Belle.

I cannot tell you what happened in his mind that day. but the instant my husband took the leash he was as good as gold. He walked out the door with no problem at all and we went for a walk around the lot. he took the stairs like a pro and was a perfect angel for us. we wouldn't have believed he had issues ona leash if we hadn't witnessed it for ourselves when they tried to bring him to us.

right then and there we knew that we were sent there to save this dog. I don't know if God sent him to us or we were sent to him or both... but we just KNEW he was the dog we had to bring home.

And over a year later he is such a wonderful and loving boy that I just couldn't imagine our house without him. He is so loving and protecting of Hannah and of the household.

We miss Teddy with all our hearts but we know he had a hand in sending Beezer to us.

I hope that people will hear that call for the dog that NEEDS them

I still have tears streaming down my face.

Such a lovely poem
