Kirsten, I think it will do you good to go to a hospital/health resort - if you can stop worrying about Luna and Lily.They will be fine I'm sure. Write a list to your mom about food, treats, water, litterbox, habits - everything you can think of, and make her promise to keep you updated.
I have just been away for a week, with Fister alone in my flat, and I have to admit I was a little worried at times, but my neighbor came in twice a day to feed him and cuddle, and when I came he was just fine, although very velcro!
I hope this will be the beginning of a better life for you. Try not to worry so much, you can't change things anyway, so you might as well let go and enjoy your treatment. You, Luna and Lily will survive this too!
