The pet food fiasco was the canary in the coal mine, for the perils of globalization. Done properly, it's a fine idea. But unfortunately there are cheats out there that will spike pet food with melamine to boost the N content and get more bux for it. There was also a recall of toothpaste that killed humans in Panama. If that happened here, the way our Administration thinks, it would probably be an act of war.
