How old is your puppy? I don't have a fox terrior but we have a christmas bell on our door that the dogs ring when they want to go outside. I don't think most puppies are house trained completely until 6 months. We crated at night and took our puppy outside every hour to go potty or sooner if she was sniffing around. Good luck, it takes time and patience when they are just learning!
