That is a ton of food, Tasha It's very cool that you added pics of the whole process. But, don't feel that bad about all of the work. I had to cut 5 whole chickens into 1/5ths today, and 2 huge geese! The geese were, really gross to handle, and had a bunch of feathers that I had to pluck.

I also concocted these fairly raw-feeder-friendly chicken liver treats, because I got 5 lbs of liver for like $1.50, and I really didn't need all of that liver especially with the whole chickens I got... which will be lasting me at least 2 weeks. Here's the recipe, if anyone has extra chicken or beef liver on their hands. Just a warning, they smell HORRIBLE! I guess that's because I hate the smell of garlic, and liver. But the smell died down after the cookies cooled.

1 carton of chicken livers (whatever size, but I used 3 lbs)
2 eggs (including shells)
1 tbsp minced fresh garlic
Oatmeal

Blend it all in your blender. Add as much oatmeal as it takes to thicken, enough to make tablespoon-sized dallops on a cookie sheet. Place cookie sheet in the oven, pre-heated to 350*. This will take 20 minutes to bake. Gonzo & Fozzie sat in front of the oven for the full 20 minutes, and went crazy waiting for them to cool! They love them! These are good to make before a weekend full of shows/training/etc. They are firm cookies but they don't crumble, they're kind of spongey and have a pretty pungent odor! I would only keep them in the fridge for 4-5 days, but you can freeze a bunch. These are really cheap, seeing as most people have all of this laying around (except for the livers, usually).
