In celebration of my 2000th post, I baked some treats for the kids, and took some pictures.

The recipie;

Bacon cheddar treats

3 CUPS WHOLE WHEAT OR RICE FLOUR
1/2 TEASPOON GARLIC SALT
*1/2 CUP BACON (COOKED AND CRUMBLED)
(RESERVE FAT)
1 CUP SHREDDED MILD CHEESE
1 EGG
1 CUP SKIM MILK

Place flour and garlic salt in large bowl. Stir in bacon fat. Add cheese, egg and bacon. Gradually add enough milk to form a dough ball. Knead and roll out about 1/2 inch thick. Use a cookie cutter to cut out in fun shapes. Place treats on a non-stick cookie sheet and bake at 325 degrees for about 45 minutes or until they start to brown. Let cool overnight (it makes them crunchy). Store in airtight container.

*may substitute with turkey bacon and veg. oil
