Thanks for the website, Micki! So it is possible for them to have some kind of buddies? Hmmm, might have to check into that. I am certainly enjoying having a fish...lol. I know its just a little fish but for some reason I feel like a little kid...lol

YW.

Taken from that site:

So what kind of fish make good tank mates? Here are a few:

African Dwarf Frog
Bala Shark
Cherry Barb
Clown Loach
Cory Cats (Corydoras)
Cardinal/Neon Tetra
Guppy
Ghost Shrimp
Mollies
Platies
Plecostomus
Snails (one per tank)
Swordtails
White Cloud Minnow
Zebra Danio

I'm sure this list isn't all-inclusive, but it's a good start. Also, every fish's personality is different so there's always the possibility of having a fish that prefers not to have ANY tank mates. So if you see any fin nipping or aggressive behavior going on be sure to separate them. A five to ten gallon tank will provide more room for tank mates to stay out of each other's way. Plants will also help to provide hiding places.

I wouldn't get any buddies unless you get a bigger tank. The general rule of thumb on the number of fish to house in an aquarium is 1" of fish per gallon of water. I'm a little over that, but I vacuum and test my water once a week.

*NOTE* Guppys must be female, not showy males, or your betta will likely kill them.
