Ahhhhhhh, precious little Corkie!!! Don't be ashamed of your tail.... you are a perfectly marked little tuxedo kitty!!! I am concerned though that you don't want your tail touched.... could it be painful? Maybe it has a fracture in it?

I hope we see lots more pictures of you!!! Congratulations on being our lovely COTD!

What a sweetie!!! You should be proud of your tail! Not every cat has one like that! Congratulations on being our special Cat of the Day today, sweetie.

Corkie, you lovely sweet thing, yes I agree, I wish I could see your lovely tail! Although not very common, there is a breed of cat called the Japanese bobtail which sounds like you might have some of that in you. i am also somewhat concerned as your owner mentions if people go to touch your tail you get very upset! Perhaps there is some discomfort in the tail that people are not aware of! Oh well I hope you enjoy your day, you are the cutest thing! have a good day!

There is a colony in Yonkers that has a high incidence of corky tails. Last weekend at Adoption Day a lady adapted one cat with a corkscrew tail and another who was a polydactyl. I wonder if she's starting a chapter of the X-Cats?

    Corkie

I did take Corkie to the vet to have her tail checked out, I too worried about her. She gets annoyed if anyone touches her tail. the vet said that the tail was fine not an injury, the vet also said that she was probably suppose to be a bobtail like her brother but it didn't happen. if she plays with string, yarn etc it always gets tangled in the corkscrew tail she gets very annoyed. I would like to post a photo of her tail but not sure how I can do it. It looks like she has a little ball on the end of her tail. She is a beautiful baby and we love her to death.

What a purrfectly attired, adorable little tux girl you are. You should be proud of your unique tail, though I do see how annoying it could be to always get string and yarn tangled up in it. Have you discovered the fun of unrolling toilet paper or of knocking paper towers off the counter?
Welcome to Pet Talk, Carole, we would love to see more of your baby.

    Corkie photos

I will attempt to post more photos of Corkie I tried last night but failed.
It is difficult to see the corkscrew tail because she is black, the tail looks like a little black ball on the end of her tail, however, it looks like the end of a rattle snake tail, it curls like a corkscrew.

Thanks for the welcome to Corkie and her humans. We love her so much, she is a delight. Yes she has discovered the tiolet paper does come off the roll real easy. Lots of days I come home to find the roll at the bottom of the stairs and Corkie sitting in the middle of the unrolled paper. I normal person may get annoyed but she is so cute I just have to hug her.
