Huney, Bon & Simba-missed so very much
Remembering all the Rainbow Bridge Pets
I too have found a great one!!! Ralph is a wonderful husband and great daddy to our girls! How many men would let 2- 65 lbs sleep in bed with us? Brush the dogs teeth? Cook me dinner? I could go on and on![]()
Okay, as a single female, I am going to give you my theory about "the good ones".
All the good ones are either:
Married
Gay
Priests
Living out of State
Pushing baby carriages
Dead
Crazy
Having Pampers in their shopping carts
Baby seats in their cars
or are serial killers.
I'm sure I could think of more. Anyone who would like to add to the list, please feel free to do so.
One question I have is...Where DOES one go to find a compatible mate![]()

DO NOT BUY WHILE SHELTER ANIMALS DIE!!
I'm very lucky to have Rob. Specially since he puts up with some of the stuff I do. So Rob is very special to me. I don't know what I'd do with out him now.

I wish I knew. I met my husband on a blind date set up by a mutual friend.
I know it isn't easy to find the right one. I had given up. I was always lousy at dating and was starting to accept the fact that I was destined to be alone. That is why he is such a miracle to me. I don't want to sound like I'm bragging. I know I'm very fortunate. (he also had a cat when I met him... a very good sign.)
As much as I couldn't STAND my stepmonster, she did give some good advice. She told me that I'd find a mate when I wasn't looking and least expected it. She said that's how she found my Dad. Okay, I've stopped looking and not expecting it so...
WHERE THE HECK IS HE ALREADY?????????

I do believe mine is a keeper too.I mean who else will just go along with me when I make decisions that concern the both of us. (Oh Dustin, BTW I got a dog today. Oh Dust, Aunt Mary is giving us a cat.) He just sorta grins and bears it. He even loves me when I go nuts on petfinder looking at animals. (Some people look for curtains to put in a new house, I look for animals
LOL)
Hold your head high.
Don't ever let 'em define
The light in your eyes.
Love yourself, give them Hell.
You can take on this world.
You just stand and be strong
And then fight
Like a girl.
My neighbor joined a dating service, it was $5000. for one year. She was going on trips, fancy dinners and big parties with very good looking men. She said they were all boring and had nothing in common with her. I told her unless ‘Mr. Perfect’ knocked at my door I was not going to meet him. Then after a water damage at my house the insurance co. sent someone to do an estimate. When I opened the door I looked at his face and then his ring finger… not married! When he came in and saw I had a cocker, Tonee, locked out of the area by a baby gate, he got down to her level and gave her kisses, and asked if he could let her in. I knew right then he was a ‘good guy’. He told me he had a shepherd mix, named Shep-ee. Our first date was walking our dogs at the river.
That was August 1st 1995, we were married August 1st 1996.
Tonee and Shep-ee were the bridesmaids. Our flower girl was Sheba, my best friends dog.

That's the best story, Tomkadzid....I would love to see pics of your wedding with your bridesmaids!! That sounds so cute!!
I truly think I have it made. Not only do I have ONE great guy, I have THREE great guys. I can always count on one of them being 'in the mood', always ready to eat whatever I make them, doesn't care how the house looks (or me for that matter!), never strays, always looks like a bajillion bucks, doesn't hog the bathroom (well, sometimes the sink gets a little crowded), no MIL to deal with, and I get to make all the important decisions!!!
Hello to Tex, Tenny and Daks!
Here are some pictures after the wedding.
It was a hot day the the girls were tired. Tonee (cocker) and Shep-ee (shepherd mix) were wearing gold lame' scarves with white lace and gold hearts trim.
Sheba (terry mix) the flower girl, tried to eat them![]()
