My cat Alley had been vomiting for 4 days straight. I took her to the vet Thursday and the vet saw something suspicious on the x-rays, so they did exploratory surgery - it turned out negative. Now my 10-year old cat is no longer vomiting, but she is not eating at all. This is the 4th day after surgery. She was eating after I took her home, but yesterday she quit. I'm giving her pain meds but having difficulty getting them down her. Anyone have any advice? I'm going to try tuna next.

You may need to start force feeding her with a syringe. You should probably get some Hills canned A/D food from your vet and then you dilute it with water and fill up a few large syringes. You should also cut off part of the tips so that more will come out. I hope that this will eventually stimulate her to start eating on her own. Good luck.
