It's not that I don't like AI, I just like watching it & making fun of it.

I think they said there would be some sort of band thing, might be good.

Yeah I'm into LOUD screaming punk, Indie, Metal music and if you didn't like Greenday I think you would have blown up your T.V if you seen any of the other bands I listen too lol. Like this quote thing said '' You'll hate my music''.

I'm so glad Jordin won (and yes, people, it's Jordin with an I). I loved when Blake sang "She was just 17" to her - it was so appropriate.

The show was great too. I didn't know Green Day were babies! What are they, like 19? Gwen Stefani lip synced and was taped; Kelly Clarkson seemed to be screaming to me, although I liked her new song. It was good to see Reuben and Carrie Underwood is so beautiful and is such an amazing singer.

The best singer didn't win - that would have been Melinda, but Jordin will be around for a long time. They're all winners in my book.

Yeah, most of the people from the top 12 will have great success. Even the ones that do not sing that well (Sanjaya ). And usually the people who do not win shoot to the top faster than the winner, the exceptions being Kelly and Carrie.

I am trying to talk my friend in to trying out again. She did it a couple years ago and actually made it to go in front of the three judges, but she was in Tahoe singing at someones wedding and didn't find out she had made it until it was too late. But she said it is SOO stressful, even just the try outs in the beginning.

OH!! I just need to say (and I'm probably dating myself here, but oh well) I absolutely LOVED when Blake sang with Doug E Fresh. That was friggin awesome!!!

Argranade please stop complaining about American Idol. If you don't like it, then don't watch it. I can easily start making fun of Greenday and I'm sure you won't like it.

I personally think they are old people who try to be young by wearing a crapload of makeup and have the crazy hair young people do. The song they sang last night bored me.

Blake with Doug E Fresh was INCREDIBLE. Such talent to be able to make such sounds come ou t of your mouth. it was so cool.

and did anyone see Bette Midler? Whats up with her? I thought she sounded AWFUL last night.

Yeah, I saw Bette and she was a bit off. She's taking over in Vegas for Celine? They said February...not sure if it was this past Feb or next Feb. That should be interesting if she sounds like that.

Ah finally i can post in this thread, as the finale was here in NZ last night, may i say America YOU GOT IT RIGHT, Jordin so deserved to win, i was elated that she did, what an amazing young woman, I was gutted that Melinda was not in the finals,Shocked beyond belief, but look how graciously she bowed out, a true lady in every way, and did not think Blake deserved to be there at all, IMO there was no competition to speak of, Jordin took it away and as simon said she swept the floor with blake in that song, well something along those lines, 100 per cent agreed, i realise Blake was unique in his own way and appealed to many,but honestly i tired of his beat box, I do think he did well with his maroon 5 song though.,and of course he will do well in the future, great to see Chris Daltry doing so well, i kinda liked him alot.

I think Elliot Yamin looked awesome, i did not find him exactly attractive before, but loved his longer hair and curls, it made him look cute i think.,and yes i would not have recognised him either.

I was thrilled to see smokey Robinson perform, love that guy,and my favourite of all time gladys Knight, i always wanted either Melinda or Lakisha to sing one of her songs in the competition and was disappointed they didn't but i noticed they were the two singing it with her, great stuff, bought back lovely memories listening to those songs, and Gladys she sounded as great last night as she ever did.

I really enjoyed the finale, better than any other i reckon,yeah i agree Bette was not quite up to her usual performance.

After reading some posts just wanted to add, i don't agree that jordin looks older than 17, you have to remember she is dollyed up to the nines with makeup etc,she is a beautiful girl with a beautiful voice, of course she was overwhelmed, and she did her best to hold back the tears,i just hope the fame and success is not too much for one so young.
