They had a whole Tilapia fish this morning. Mandy refused, which is odd, because she usually loves fish! I wonder how long of a strike she'll go on before she'll eat it ...

Sorry that happened! Buck and Luka's aren't that bad, but I bet it wasn't going to be long before they chipped a tooth like that.

Sarah, that just happened after chewing her bone. She only has her tennis balls for retrieving, and when I'm done playing with her, they're gone. She doesn't chew on them or anything and only has them occasionally. Some of her other teeth are chipped a bit, but those are from playing with a hard frisbee when she was younger

Oh, I thought maybe the bottom canine was worn down from something else.

They are headless and furless. They are $6.99/pound, but they do go on sale occasionally. Right now, they have 11 pound boxes of turkey legs for $8.88, or you can go to Buy Rite and get the same ones for $5.81!

Mandy tried really hard to eat the fish tonight, but I could tell she didn't like it. She left it so I let Nova have it and I won't buy that fish again. Buck had half a chicken and Luka and Nova had a quarter of a chicken.

I'm sorry about that, Devan :/ poor Tango. Gonzo got a little chip on his rear molar from a smoked beef bone, but never from a raw bone, and never that bad. It's good she didn't fracture to a nerve, atleast!

I was wondering if anyone here has tried goat bones? The butcher has an assortment of meaty goat bones for really cheap, would goat femur/ribs/etc be a lot easier on the teeth? I would imagine they would... I've never fed goat, though.

Gonzo got Farmore Chicken w/ yogurt & his supplements for breakfast. Fozzie got the same, minus the supps. Fozzie got CN with some boiled chicken for lunch, and CN soaked in broth for dinner. Gonzo got 3 really good free-range chicken wings for dinner because my Mom bought some to make and she had extras. Oh... and I went with Fozzie and my friend with her dog to the dog fair this morning, so I brought home a bunch of treats and Gonzo got a big piece of beef jerky, some dog beer, and Fozzie got 3 mini cheese dog muffins.

I'm a bad mommy, I forgot to unthaw Visa's food lastnight. So she had to eat kibble this morning. It's funny, the more stuff I add to it, the less likely she is to have diahrrea. Even if I add only pumpkin she will get the runs. So I added pumpkin, cottage cheese, yogurt, an egg, flaxseed, her BioVet supplements, NutriCal, and I mixed it all up with some canned Puppy Plate. So far so good, but she's been farting.

Visa had two boneless chicken thighs and some Bolthouse farms juice, and now she's chomping down on beef bone.

Since most of the dog food experts come here I figured I'd post my question here:
Today Niño pooped 3 times on a 1 hour walk, and this is not uncommon. He also sheds A LOT. I'm pretty sure I'm going to be working at petsmart, and getting a discount, so does anyone have a suggestion for a better food? Niño also farts a lot I was thinking that perhaps his stomach hurts a bit maybe? He's eating Iams right now and it's not that we can't afford better, it's that my parents think it's ok. They said as long as I pay the difference in costs it would be ok.

Our local grocery store is having a buy one get one free sale so we just bought 2 packages of chicken legs. Around 6lbs of chicken for $5. Cheapest I can find it! My freezer is full of that and the chicken I've been getting from work.

I really don't want to waste these beef bones - the guy at my mom's work even went thru the trouble of cutting them for the dogs.

Is there anyway I can give them to them without ruining their teeth but still benefitting?

Suki - what food is he eatting now?

I've never really looked at the food Petsmart sells but I know they sell Nutro NC & Ultra. Both are okay foods - Ultra is better than NC, so I'd go for that if I were you.
