    Two films over the weekend.
Monster-in-Law - I was bored to tears by half-way through and didn't watch any more.
    Racing Stripes - Very entertaining.

I watched House of Wax last night (with Paris Hilton). Other than the fact she's a bad actress, the movie was still kind of scarey. Has anybody else seen it? Did you think it was scarey?

The last movie I watched (I think) was Elizabethtown. I thought is was alright, but greatly lacking.

I can't believe I've gotten so into it, I haven't gotten this involved in a show in a long time!
I really liked Serenity too. I've not seen Firefly, but my friend has told me how great of a show it is (was). It originally aired on Fox and that channel doesn't come in at my house, so we never got to see it. It now reruns on the Scifi channel, but can't see it as I don't have cable.

I can't wait to see "Walk The Line" , it isn't out for a few more weeks though.

You're braver than I. I wasn't even going to attempt Monster-In-Law. Ha ha, not a fan of Lopez. Racing Stripes I'd like to see, though! Looks adorable!

Oh, man...If you get a chance to rent it or buy it on DVD, you really should check the show out. I got the series on DVD, and, have been exposing everyone I know to it. I've seen the pilot four times, now. With different people each time...it's awesome. I'm such a spaz, I'm actually attempting to go to a convention in December where the cast will be. Yup, I'm a dork. It's the first show I've ever been that impressed by!

Let's see...it's a sci-fi tv series that was cancelled before the first season was complete. The creator is the same guy that created Buffy, the Vampire Slayer and Angel for Fox. Firefly is nothing like those two shows, excepting that it's an ensemble cast. There are nine main characters and the series is set 500 years from now. Supposedly, the only two main superpowers that survive from now to then are China and the United States, so, everyone in the show speaks English and Chinese equally fluently, even the lowest of the low. It's sci-fi, but, there are no aliens or people with crazy faces or anything...it's all humans. There's also a western feel to it, like some of the planets actually have the people on horseback, some of the planets are pretty rudimentary. The main characters all speak with a sortof western vernacular, meaning they use words like "ain't" and drop the g's off the endings of their words, but, they don't talk with an accent. It's really cleverly written, well directed, and well acted. The music is really beautiful and it's cool because so many different types of instruments are used. Everything from Chinese to Irish to Western, because of all the cultures that are mixed into the show. Anyway...sorry, I get carried away.

Carole, and other JD fans, have you seen the trailer to his 'controversial' new film. If not you can see it here.

I just saw Saw2. I loved the first one, and this one was probably just as good. Just as much of a shock factor, and even gorier (sp?). I'm not overly squeamish, except with needles, and let's just say I squirmed in my seat. The ending was very twisted. Just...I love the whole idea of the movies. And there will be a Saw3. I won't spoil it for everyone else.

Have any of you watched Pay it Foward? It is an excellent movie. Helen Hunt is in it. Remember her from Mad about you? It is a real *tear jerker*

I've been anxiously waiting for this one myself! He's incredible! And, John Malkovich is amazing, as well. I can't wait to see this.

There's another one that Natalie Portman is in called V for Vendetta that looks pretty intense, and, I'm looking forward to it, too!
