Thanks for all the nice replies! I'll try to answer some of your questions.
About the size of a baseball. How big are they?
These are actually to celebrate Dia De Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) an important holiday in many Latin American cultures. I made a thread explaining a little about the holiday which can be found by clicking hereDo you give them out at Halloween?
Pretty much all I used was sugar and meringue powder. The molds I was able to find locally, but this website has everything that you need.you mush share the recipe & where you got the moulds. I'd LOVE to make those next year

ok now to answer the rest of the questions!
They are edible but really they are more for decoration. We made 24 total, so we each had 12 to decorate and give to our friends. Are they edible, or just for the fun & celebration of the holiday? You both made a lot of them!!!
For the actual skulls we used 10 lbs of sugar! To make the royal icing which is what we used to decorate we used 4 lbs of powdered sugar.Out of curiousity how much sugar did it take to make all of them?
