Have you ever had heavy snow this late in the season?

Let's just say it's no great surprise. It's the wet heavy stuff. A semi has overturned on the main highway and parts of the highway are closed.

A number of years ago we had local heavy snow on the August long weekend. THAT is unusual.

This reminds me of my childhood in Germany. I grew up in the Bavarian Alps, and we got those late snows, too. I love snow, but after living here in North Carolina, I got used to the longer gardening season.
