    Schuyler has gone to RB

    http://catoftheday.com/archive/2003/December/02.html

I wanted to put a link to Schuyler when he was COTD in December 2003. He left us for the Rainbow Bridge on Good Friday because vet felt his blood levels were dangerously low, and soon he would be suffering more from late stage Chronic Renal Failure. He put up a valiant, stoic effort, taking his sub-q fluids and pills daily. His weight had dropped significantly even though we were giving him pills to stimulate his appetite. He ate sparingly, although we tried to tempt him with baked fish, ground beef, etc. to no avail. I am still in such a state of grief that I cannot write more, but he was the grandest of feline gentlemen and will forever remain in my heart and soul.

Schuyler, you were so loved and such a special, irreplaceable boy!

Avajoy, thank goodness for your TNR work, or Schuyler would have had a shorter and sadder life. Out furbabes are never with us long enough, but being with you was the best life Schuyler ever had.

Dear Avajoy, I am so sorry to learn of the loss of your handsome, beloved Schuyler to chronic renal failure. Thank you for including the link to his COTD page. What a fine fellow, and what a fine, wonderful life you and he have shared!

Deepest sympathy to you and all who love him so much. Love is eternal, and you and he are together always.

Rest in peace, Schuyler, happily at the Rainbow Bridge with no more kidney ailments, waiting to welcome your dearest Avajoy HOME.. One Fine Day..

    God bless,

I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
    Death thought about it.

Avajoy, when my Snowball passed away, you wrote that you were in a similar situation with your Schuyler and you were obviously correct. I'm so sorry to hear of Schuyler's passing. He was a very beautiful cat. Stunning really. I'm glad that you and Schuyler found each other and forged the bond that can never be broken. My thoughts will be with you and Schuyler...

I am so sorry to hear about Schuyler's passing. He was only 12 years ild. My Filou passed 2 years ago at 14- also from renal failure. Just like Filou Schuyler seems have to fought his disease bravely. I hope the two meet at Rainbow Bridge.

What a beautiful boy, and now he forever looks down on you, lovingly, with complete restoration of sight, and full organ function, until that one day. I am so sorry for your grief, known all to well to us here. May the memories of better days bring you comfort in time.
