    Thursday #300- A Toga Party!

    I almost typed TOGO party!

Welcome to the Three Hundredth Edition of Thursday's! I never thought we'd keep it going THIS long...Isn't that like 10 months worth of Sundays?

Lame joke........Anyway, Strip the sheets off the bed, grab some olive branches and I'll twist up some head wear-we are off!

I did find a theme drink for the day!

    The Trojan Horse!
    1/2 pint Guinness® stout
    1/2 pint Coca-Cola®
Mix coke and guinness in a pint glass.

Weird, but hey, it fits the bill?

I know that everyone, almost everyone, dies at the end of the movie, 300!
But, we'll do this in a most responsible way!

    A sequel!

Leonidas fakes his death in order to get back to his foxy queen, they move to the Island of Crete, open up a Mediterranean Fish Restaurant and live happily ever after. Xerxes goes for cosmetic surgery and loses his bid for world domination because no one like scarred wanna-be gods. He goes back to Perisa and works in his dad's sand sculpture business.

    The End!

    or DONE?

Hee hee - never knew there was a drink named after a pretend horsie! The things one learns from Pet Talk, eh?

Cold and snowy here, I hate to sound repetitive, but a nice hot chocolate, please, and I'll share some of the mini marshmallows with Lady. Wonder if the orange kitty wants to play with some - they kinda bounce ...

Richard, you look devine in a sheet! Wait a minute....are you dressing "commando"???

I've never heard of the movie 300 but hey, I'll participate anyway. Sounds like phun! One DOTD please, I'm in the mood to try anything.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

We have been obsessing with horses lately?

It's hot dry and windy out here.....not good at all! I'd trade for a foot or two!

One Hot Choco, with the rainbow colored mini-mallows? DONE!

The only way I can wear a toga on a night like this is with lots of layers underneath it! May I have coffee, please, or decaf- whatever is brewing or I can start a pot.

There's always coffee brewing in here - I don't even drink the stuff, but was born and raised in a Swedish* household - to get a pot of coffee going as soon as I got up if one wasn't already put on by Ma! Love the smell of the stuff, just don't drink it but here at Thursday's there's always coffee ready.

*Mind you, we are of many nationalities and ethnicities, but as far as coffee goes, it was Swede!

I have to laugh....The mental photograph on this is a toga, and two thermal underwear clad legs underneath?

    Cafe?

    DONE!

Precisely. They're actually pink thermals. Don't forget the ragg wool socks... it's -8F here in Chicago today.
