Charlie has these dime size scabs on his feet. They look REALLY EXTREMEMLY dry and white, flaky. Not red like scabs. They are on the top of his feet.
What are they, and how do we treat them?
MMMM I dont know about it being on top of the paw.. My dogs have hot spots underarm pits & in the hind leg pit area.. I do know give it time & there is lots of dog pros on here that will pitch in with advise.. Might want a Vet to take a peak at your baby too.. Good Luck.. Hey what part of Tx are you from?

hey I am 30 min west of ft worth & not far from you.. We can PM each other some.. Ok hot spots are usally will be a red area & could have white sweat & will look a lot like a skin rash.. Trust me my one baby that had it would want to lick or scratch the area all the time & of course that would stay iritated & then that of course would make the hair be gone from that area.. Now my vet would give hydro ointment & a cooling spray & oil tablets for the dog to take (due to the skin get very dry) & last but least Benadrel tabs.. We doctored morning & at night.. Now keep in mind my puppys are outside dogs & this would only happen in the hot months May-August..

We see alot of hot spots where I work. They are usually red and oozing. I've never seen a dry and flaky hot spot before. Perhaps your dog has allergies and is chewing his feet?
I've been BOO'd!
