Well if there is a good thing about the axkadent, it was a *need to pee* one and not a *I'm going to show that beauuutiful Cinder Girl whose the MAN in the house and put my markings everywhere I can* one. Ya gotta make a mistake to know it's a mistake, so in effect, Bowser had his first housebreaking lesson. Me thinks he's a smart boy and he should be learning pretty fast.

This thread is getting fairly long. It may be time to start

I feel your pain Phred!! I was watching mom's Taggert and took my 3, plus him to the "Dog Days of September" at the park. They were all very good, but getting 4 dogs, to go the same way, and the same time, and sit for a picture is a hoot!
One trick I have learned, separate the 2 most reliable ( for me, the girls) and let them help "watch" the other two (the boys!!)
Amy, are you suggesting that MY Taggert is not reliable when walking? That he would "run" and keep on "runnin" if he got a chance. Good girl, I knew I didn't raise no dumbie.

Phred and Amy, now come one, tell me what is so hard about walking 4 dogs? I take six to Scooter's dog park and BG dogpark often. So what if I look silly wrapped in dogleashes, inching along afraid I will trip any minute.

Having had the experience of maneauvering 4 or more dogs, I feel for you Phred. I laughed because I could see EXACTLY what was happening. One day last year before they banned my five at the dog park, two got away from me and I got mad and dropped all the leashes and said see if I care, run away! Luckily for me, they all ran for the gate and waited patiently for me to catch up. It was snowy and cold that day so I sure am glad that is where they went because I am not sure I could have caught all of them!

Oh good grief - this time I can't stop laughing at the dawgz antics Phred - I've got tummy ache with laughing - the mental pics., are just too much!!!

Pleased the trip to Doc Mikes was such a success - all things considered.

The pics from the Lake trip are just so good - there was I thinking you'd just plonked the dawgz down and they "stayed"!!! ROFL!!

One little accident can't be held against Bowser can it? Just got a smaller water tank than Cinder and Smoke!!

Lots of {{{{{{Hugs}}}}} to da bus driver.

Oh, My goodness! My sides hurt from all the laughing. I wish I had been on the park trip with a camera. I would love some shots of you tangled in the dog pile!

Aw, Bower has been so good. One little goof up can be overlooked. He may need to go out more often since he is used to going when and where he wants. Maybe he will watch C & M and learn from them.

Oh Phred, what can I say. This thread is getting better all the time now. Good boy Bowser....there's nothing like a loving Dad and some good treats.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

I have a headcold/sore throat ("no voice! no voice!" the parents rejoice ) and have only been up about a total of 4-5 (non-consecutive) hours. What a pleasure to find there's a treat-monster in the making!

As for the accident , guess Rachel said it best... he's gotta make a mistake to know it's a mistake. He seems to be a smart, sensitive guy... hopefully no more puddles from here on out, if for no other reason than to keep his feelings from getting hurt.

A round of treats on me, then I'm headed back to bed! Not even bothering with work tomorrow, I don't think.

Nighters to all of Phred's Fluffies ... and Phred, too, of course!

    Monday Bowser Tails ~

Bowser Boy seems to be "Fittin In" pretty well -
learnig a few of da Howze Rulez and
feeling more comfortable with Cinder & Smokey...

When I <spring> him out of his 'partment in the basement in
the morning, he's quick to bound up the stairs to join da Gang.
He was going straight to the basement/garage door to see if
    "escape" was possible.

"Outies" are a bit more organized - his tether cable fits
under the front door so it can remain INside between uses.
LOT easier to hook him up INside without me having to try "blocking"
    the open door!

Inner "warmth" seems to be appreciated by BB!
He's MUCH more eager to bound in the open door than he was.
And Cinder seems MUCH less interested in taking UN-approved
"long hikes" during her outies - she kinda "hangs around the house" -
prolly afraid HE'll get sumpin she doesn't!

He's developed an appreciation for TREETS!!
Sinder & Smoke INSIST on a treet when they return from an outie...
Bowser would take one, but instantly <spit> it out as soon as he got it.
TODAY he took and KEPT each one offered!
    He's still very "timid" - sticks his nose in to take the treet;
but retreats down the hall to *eat* it.
Still only likes the "Chawklit" ones!

    Da KAT has mellowed considerably!!
He'll now walk around the house without needing to dash for safety!
And he no longer moves with constant glances over his shoulder.
He's spent a lot more time on a chair without leaping on the
table every time BB walked into the room.
And *I* haven't heard a single "Hisssss! all day!!

BB even participated in a typical C&S "play session"...
They LOVE to Play Fight & play "Tag" ~
One will walk up to the other and Nose Punch, Bite an Ear, of just Pounce
on, and the Battle Begins - complete with *Grrrrin*, *Snarlin*,
    *Woofin*
    and other LOUD sound effects!
It started this morning, and I heard a new "voice" in the mix!
I looked and there was Bowser - doing his best to avoid the rasslin
    but joining in the "discussion".
He ran a few "laps" of the "Tag Match" (a top-speed RACE around
the center of the room furniture island, with frquent reversals of
direction, and jumping over of each other). Bowser wasn't quite
*fast* enough; and wound up being <run over> a few times...
so he "spectated" from the sidelines towards the end.

    And he's no *dummie*!!
He figured out that da Bus Driver goes "hunting" and returns with
    FOOD on round disks!
He sneaks out to check the "Hunting Grounds" (kitchen) almost
every time I sit down to "eat my kill" from a "disk". Thank doG
he's too "short" to get more than his nose over the counter edges.
He has the *idea* down pat ~ I *watched* him trying VERY hard to
stretch and reach a paw over the counter edge a while ago!
Right paw, left paw, a lil <jump> for a better look...
Hope the Other Two don't take "lessons" from him!!

And he's now <responding> when I call his name!!
Used to be when he disappeared, I'd have to go *FIND* him...
Now a gentle *Boooowser" will bring him on the trott to see
    "Whut'z Up, Boss?" == **PROGRESS**

Hope there have been no more damp accidents, Phred! Actually a bowser in England ( where I come from) is what the firemen bring the water in to put out a fire. I think you call it a tanker truck. LOL good name for a squirty doggie!

I think you are a very special angel too by the way! xxx

Even though he's a foster kid, he fits in with the firedawg theme perfectly!

Brought back memories of how we used to do things prior to getting *the fence*. Speaking of which, maybe time to fence in a portion of the Ranch.

I think Bowser is getting some valuable socialization skills staying at the ranch.

ease that over the edge and the whole sandwich is yours for the eat'n.
