I doubt that will work now. About two years ago we took my Mom across the border for her birthday. She has no birth certificate nor a passport but she did show her expired driver's license. That did get her across then because it had her picture and signature on it, but I'm sure that would not do the trick now. Over here in BC they are very strict and do require proof of citizenship. If that certificate works, then I apologize. Before Pet Talk, I never had a passport because I never travelled. Now that I have Pet Talk meetings to go to
, I will always carry it for travel.
Oh and getting back to the orginal subject of this thread, my BC is laminated but that was the practice in the early 50's. I've never had a problem with it but I do need another one because the numbers on the back are fading and it won't be acceptable when I renew my passport. Thanks for the advice.
Edit: Oops, I didn't see your post above. That really surprises me.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!
