Yuck, I have a sinus infection...

My face feels like it will explode any minute. My teeth feel like they're being pushed out of my gums. This all started Friday. Today is Monday, went to the doctor this morning, got the required antibiotics and should feel better in 2-3 days. I hope I can wait that long to feel better.

Thanks for listening to my rant. Unfortunately it hasn't really made me feel better.

Ahh... I know your pain. I get them at least twice a year. they are utterly miserable and unbearable!

I had a really bad sinus infection last year. I could hardly see, hear, think or talk. My mouth felt fine, but the pressure was so bad on the upper face that it really messed with thinking & doing anything (if that made any sence).

I'm on Flonase (sp) for sinus allergise. I have noticed that it gets rid of the small sinus infections & keeps them away.

You might want to look into it.. I have not had any head/face pains in almost a year now. Its great.. Mind you I HATE spraying flonase up my nose, ICK! So I cut the dose in 1/2 & spray twice a day, insted of 2 sprays once a day (my dr. said it was ok).

So look into Flonase, it helped me

You have my utmost sympathy, I have just had a rotten cold which of course left me with a sinus infection as well , until today I have been so tired just trying to breath, both nostrils being blocked, but today YEAH I can breathe again, they are not fun, I hate it when your teeth just ache and ache.

I hope the antibots do the trick for you and you will be feeling well again soon, take care and I found doing lots of inhalations did help some and I make up a water and salt mixture and spray it up my nose often, this was recommended by an ENT specialist to me.

Have you tried lying down for a few minutes with a hot compress accross your face? (Or try alternating between hot and cold) I used to get bad sinisitus and that helped me a bit!

I also find putting a warm wheat pack on my head and eyes helps that sinus pain, and I also find I usually feel worse on the antibiotics for the first few days, like it moves everything around and causes more pain, but then you start to feel better as time goes on, hope you feel better soon.
