:(Adopt cats in the wild! Don't let them die!:( (this is sad, so read it)

"Becca! There are KITTENS up here!" My brother called to me. I was shocked. that sickly-looking cat that was walking around had babies!
I was only about 3, but i remeber the first time the wild cats came to us. Since then, we have had over 120 cats, some that didn't have names because they died so soon we tried giving away the little kittens for free to anyone who would give them good homes, but cats die to fast what questions me is why people only take the little kittens, when the older ones are desperatly in need of a home? i know that kittens are sweet, little, adorable delicate little guys (or girls) but they will grow to be older cats too!
i have lost somemany cats in my life. some have been hit by a car, some had sicknesses, and some have been given away. i see the mother cats so depressed, so next year they try a new batch that might live the year.

now do you want to help the inocent wild cats?

You need to get those momma cats spayed! If they are feral (wild), there are organizations that may trap, spay and release them. If kittens and cats are dying, they are probably sick, and passing the sicknesses on to their kittens, and to each other. These cats NEED to be seen by a vet, or someone who can help them. Letting them stay the way they are will create more sadness and sickness and dying kittens and cats. I cannot stress this enough. Please!!!!! contact a shelter near you, if there is no shelter nearby, ask a local veterinarian for help.

I agree wholeheartedly with Karen! You sound like such a loving, cat-friendly person , try to do what you can to get the mother cats spayed and checked out for diseases! If they really are passing on a disease to their kittens, you would do them such a world of good if you contacted a shelter or a vet. Please do it!! Your story is indeed very sad, but you can have a major impact on preventing the story from becoming even more tragic. Go for it!!!!!

And I agree that people should not overlook adult cats when they are adopting. I adopted two adult females and they are the light of my life! Sure, kittens are SO adorable, but adult cats have an incredible cuteness quotient, too. Just looking at them makes me say, "Awwwww...."
