    Very bad news. Please pray.

I know I haven't been on in a while, I have been unbelievably busy. I have terrible news. I cannot stop crying. Marley is very very sick. We took her to the vet two days ago when she wouldn't eat or drink anything and she wouldn't play. The vet said her stomach was inflamed and gave her some medicine that was supposed to help. It didn't. Marley acted the same way yesterday. We took her to the vet again today and they told us this; Marley either has an extreme case of pneumonia or she has Feline Infectious Peritonitus. We are praying it is not the latter. FIP is a rare disease and it is fatal. There are no cures. It usually happens to cats younger than 2 or older than 10. The vet gave us an IV that we have to hook her up to so she gets fluids. If it is pneumonia, she will get better. If it's FIP, we have to put her down. The vets are leaning towards FIP. We need a miracle. She is having trouble breathing. I remember when all she would do is run around and play and cause trouble. I love my kitten so much, I can't let her die. PLEASE pray for my baby.

OMG, this is awful!! I am so sorry! I'll be hoping that it's not FIP. When will you find out for sure? This is so sad, and again I am so sorry. I'll be thinking of you and Marley.

I'm so sorry to hear this. Hopefully it won't be FIP. Please keep us updated.
Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is a full management plan in which stray and feral cats already living outdoors in cities, towns, and rural areas are humanely trapped, then evaluated, vaccinated, and sterilized by veterinarians. Kittens and tame cats are adopted into good homes. Healthy adult cats too wild to be adopted are returned to their familiar habitat under the lifelong care of volunteers

I'm so sorry. I was just thinking about little Marley the other day. Whenever I see the "M" on Ripley's forehead I think about her and how you named her.

Prayers on the way for that little sweetheart.

I greatly appreciate your thoughts and prayers. We will know for sure if it is FIP in 2 or 3 days. By then, the antibiotics and fluids that we are giving her should make her feel better. If they don't, then it is FIP and there is nothing else we can do. I love her so much. She hasn't even grown big enough to fit in the collar that I bought her awhile ago. She's so little. I want her to grow up and live a happy life. Please keep praying and hoping for a miracle. Thank you so much.
