How Heyoka copes with the cold....

He whines like a baby, howls, yips, barks and basically acts like a fool until he gets to come in the house. Then he sits and stares the futon until the dumb human gets the message and puts it down for him--After all a dog this big needs a full size bed.

heehee... cute doggie. Gigi refused to walk when it's cold outside too... but she is short haired, that could be the reason too.

Who could resist such an adorable dog? He's a smart one to come in out of the cold. Looks very happy.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Fur as dark as the night.
    Join me on this flight.
Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

I'll agree with him 1) it's cold out there and 2) I like a big soft place to lie down - don't want to be cramped.

He has you trained just as well as ours have us trained. He's no dummy. Good people/good place - what more could a pupster want?

He's a purebred alaskan malamute. He's oversize for the breed standard though. I have a pretty good idea who bred him though and he was breeding for giant malamutes--which is a huge issue among good malamute breeders--this guy was not a good breeder. I got Heyoka out of the shelter a little over a year ago.
