I have a four month old chihuahua female . She is a new experience for me . Her name is Tiny and she is full of spirit ,loving and sweet . She scared me by having an episode of reverse-sneezing the second day I had her . My sister says they do that once in a while (she has had chihuahuas for a long time ). Tiny has been a joy to me , but I'm just learning about chihuahuas. So far what I have learned is that I wish I had owned one a long time ago ! She likes to make us laugh, it seems to make her happy . She plays so cute ! Are there any chihuahua owners out there that could tell me about their chihuahuas ?

Hi and Welcome to Pet Talk! My first dog was a Chi mix and he lived to be 20+ years old. His name was Tinker and he was my best friend.

I'm sure MHMama will love to tell you about her 3, cloverfdx has Theo, and WolfQ's grandmother just got a Chi pup!

Tiny is adorable, we need more pics

my mother and i are owned by a Chihuahua, Theodore (as Micki mentioned ) he is 16 months old and is a real clown of a dog, and extremly active for a little fella. he is currently training in Obedience, Flyball, and some Agility.

Thank you for your pictures of Theodore. How did you train him to catch the ball like that ? Tiny will go get a toy but wants to play tug-of-war ! She has not learned to catch a toy yet , but I'm hoping . I would like to see more Theodore pictures when you get more .

no problems i have plenty more pics of theo.

as for teaching him to catch the ball we started him out very young (he was 12 weeks old when he came home) and we wanted him to be ball crazy (for Flyball) so we just started out rolling the ball to him and he would go after it, then he would be given LOTS of praise, and eventually we started to bounce the ball off the wall and he just caught on to catching it , and now he is a Pro and can leap into the air to catch the ball *terribly proud of my boy*

TugOwar is a great game , but the human must ALWAYS win and perseverence is the key if you keep tiny's interest in playing with the toys and balls she will catch on quite quickly.

amoore, you sure have a pretty siamese picture here, your Tiny sounds very sweet. I really like the black and white chihuahuas, they are my favorite. I have a tri colored shihtzu, gold and white with a black mask, named April. She is a joy to me. I believe we know each other amoore, what do you think???

Thank you for your reply. Yes, Tiny is pretty. Why don't you send a picture of your April ? I love her breed of dog. They are very affectionate dogs . The chihuahua is new to me , a very new experiance for me. I'm enjoying learning about the breed .

Amoore, Tiny is so CUTE, I am one of the cat people, and I don't venture into the dog site much, but I do love this breed of dogs, always wanted a long-haired one.
I love Tiny's one black ear, adorable, keep sending in more pics, and tell us all about your cute little doggie.

I have to say that Tiny is the cutest little thing!!!! Keep more pictures and more stories about Tiny coming! I do not have a Chihuahua, I have April, a Shihtzu, that I have told you about before. Thank you for your comments about her. She told me to give you a lick for that, but I told her that I would just say thank you and send you a smile for it! I think Tiny and my April would have lots of fun together, since they both have such personalities. Have a great evening amoore!

Thankyou, April's mom, for the reply. April must be as sweet as she looks and your son Blake must be fun for her to play with . Sounds like she is very playful . Tiny is a playful little puppy now, and in the teething stage . How old is April? She sounds like she may still be very young to be so playful .
