Why is Cheeko so difficult.. ughhh

Cheeko never lets me do anything to him. He always hisses ALWAY bites and Never is a nice bird. I am so fed up, I feed him all these nice treats and always talk to him and give him showers with a mist sprey, but nothing works, he still hates EVERYONE, he is even starting to hate Spanky. It is hopeless, please ANYONE if you can help me tame this untameable cockatielI will be greatly thankful

first of all... calm down and do not get frusterated with him. Have you talked to him softly and sung to him calmly while he is in his cage? and i would suggest giving him his very favorite treats while he is on your hand... that way he wants to visit you. does he like the spray mists? make sure he does like them, otherwise dont give it to him. Are you quiet and gentle when your around him? he could get startled and hiss at you. it will take time. maybe a lot of time from the sounds of it. but whatever you do, dont give up. leave his cage open and sit near it (not to close) and dont make eye contact with him. predators stare. wait and wait... until he calms down a little. talk to him softly without looking... and maybe he will come out. you could do this every day. good luck.

Just have patience. Every animal moves at their own pace. Keep in mind all the things PCB has told you and be patient with him.

I am calm..

I cant help but get frusterated with him, he hates me.

yes I have talked to him softly and slowly I have sung to him, whist;led to him EVERYTHING well he is in his cage. he just hisses at me..

He hates all treats I give him. he hates millet sprey and also thoughs honey treats to.

the only thing I know he likes is mist preys because he stretches out and grooms himself.

yes I am quiet and gentel when I am around him ..

If I even go near his cage he isses and bites the bars tryign to get at me.

I hasve left his cage open for days at a time and He wont come out. he only likes his cage.

befor I goto school I leave his cage open and him and Spenky stay in their cage the whole day, it is pointless.

I am soo frusterated. I dont know wha I am doing wronge, my birds are just untameable, I guess. .

Well If you can tell me that it took you 2 years to get to kow your bird and it still isnt tame. I have been working 4 months trying to tame Spanky, hes a totaly different story, he is just phyco path bird, he flys into walsl and EVERYTHING. I am affraid he'll kill him self from brain damage if I keep on trying to tame him.

They both have their wings clipped by the way.

popcornbirds taticks dont work, for me anyways. I have tryed the sheet thing I have tryed EVERYTHInG... it is hopeless.

my bird hates veggies and fruits..he pushes them out of the food bowl and onto the ground and then poops on them. .. He never eats anything nutritious(sp?) he just refuses.

these are what I have tryed to feed him...

apple,

grapes,

mango,

cheese,

peach,

aprocoats (sp?),

cellery with peanut butter,

brockolii (sp?)

coliflower,

Bread,

rasins,

carrots,

lettus,

orange slices,

*all the above food were cut very small enough to eat for my tiel, and they were all placed in seperate bowls and were served on different ocasions*

I tryed all you tackticks PCB, they dont work for me. I dotn get frusterated At him. I am more frusterated that I cannnot tame him. if that makes sence, my mom hates computers and wont join sorry ..

I think we need to count how many times PCB has explained to you how to help.....

Maybe you should stop being so fricking rude, it is really begining to pi$$ing me off, I have done all of her teaching things and they didnt work.

I dont know how many fricking times I have said it but *THEY DONT WORK FOR ME, HER TRAINING TATICKS DONT WORK, THEY DONT WORK, THEY DONT WORK, THEY DONT WORK, THEY DONT WORK*, they might work for her because her birds wernt bitten by a huge male malamute.

I had a Russian Blue rat, Skittles. She passed away back in August 2002 in my arms by the way. Anyhow, for about 3 months straight I would get ripped up by her. I have scars all over my hands and arms from her. She would lunge at me when I walked up to the cage, she would chase me around, everything. Everytime I went to grab her/get by her to grab another rat I would have a small treat in my hand, so she would incorperate my hand with something yummy. It worked, and she turned into the biggest baby ever. The day she died will haunt me forever, because she touched me the deepest of any of the rats. Did I ever give up, did I make posts about her evilness, no.

How nice, a rabbit killed by a dog, and a bird attacked by a dog. How sweet!! If that happened to me, I'd peck my owners eyes out.

Now...I don't blame the bird...I could relate. I'm sick, I have to go get some Pepto-Bismol.
