When Willy was diagnosed with kidney failure, he was put on the k/d food which has less protein.
Many of you shared with me your experience with k/d food. If I recollect correctly, not a single cat would eat it.
Well, I now have video evidence of a cat who will eat k/d food to share with you.

As you may have surmised from the video, that is not Willy eating the food. As you predicted, he won't touch the stuff.
But Cammie, our senior girl with 3 remaining teeth, likes it! Since most senior kitties have kidney problems, the vet said it was okay for her to keep eating it.
Willy update ~ In April, he appeared to have days rather than weeks to live. He has rallied with the help of sub-q fluids (with potassium added). He gets the fluids every other day and runs and plays like a silly boy. He had a checkup on Monday and though his numbers are still off the chartsthe vet doesn't want to see him for another 3 months unless he goes downhill. If he's still doing well at that point, we'll do more bloodwork to check the numbers again.
