    Sadie's not feeling good

Not really sure what is going on with the Sadie girl. All 3 dogs went to day school last Friday and whe I picked them up, Sadie was pretty slow. Not unexpected, she is over 10 years old and that is a long day to play. She hasn't bounced back yet though. Every day she seems a little better, but her appetite hasn't come back which is the weird part. She is only eating about 1x per day instead of her usual 3.

We have a vet appointment for her today to get things checked out, so keep your paws and fingers crossed and through a few extra prayers Sadie's way.

Grandma here, Sadie girl you've got to start feeling better. You are scaring your mommy, daddy and me.

Amy, you know dogs can't tell us what is wrong - maybe she is just hurting from all the extra horse - I mean - dog play. Did Spotty stop limping? Hard to see our babies get old isn't it?

We'll be thinking and praying for you and Sadie girl. Let us know RIGHT away what the vet said.

Sorry to hear that Amy. Is Sadie older than Cincy? I thought Sadie was
the younger pup. I hope the Vet finds that maybe she just overdid it a bit
on exercise that day. I hope she feels better soon. Prayers for her Vet visit
    today,

Sadie is older then Cincy. She turned 10 in October (Cincy was 9 in September, Spot 10 in August).

Not that there is anything easy when one of your dogs is sick, but is is extra hard this week becuase we have our Global Sales meetings going on at work, which means I am tied up in meetings from 7:30am-5pm with evening activities as well. Ralph is doing a great job caring for her, but 3 dogs is a challenge when you want to focus on 1 and the other 2 need attention as well. It also means I am 10-15 miles furhter away from home then I am at the office, and can't escape as readily at lunch to come home and check on them.

Is it also hard to explain to others (not PT people obvioulsy, but "others") why we are so concerned. She is not vommiting, she has no diarherra, she does what she is told, she goes to the window to see when the other dogs bark, she gets up and down from the couch and bed..... She just isn't eating as much, and she is acting like our Sadie.

Spot is not limping as much as he was this weekend, but with his arthritis he still does some. He starts his laser treatments next week, so hopefully that will help.

Amy just called to update us on the visit to the vet. The vet took Sadie's temp and she was running one. Amy had brought a urine sample in as Sadie has had urinary infections before and sure enough that is what it was. The vet gave Sadie a shot of rimadyl and said she should be feeling a lot better in about an hour. She didn't say anything about an antibiotic but I assume they gave her one to take. Amy had to get back to her meetings which is why I am doing the updating. Thanks to all who prayed for her. I have to say I was really worried.

Thank goodness the meds will have Sadie back up and eating really soon.

These guys just give you heart failure and more grey hairs we worry about them so much.

Thanks for the update Diana, and I love seeing Cinder and Smoke pictures as part of the family now. It just makes me feel that Phred is in a good place now that he knows his pups are well loved and fed.

Just catching up. A UTI is uncomfortable, but at least now you have the diagnosis and treatment.

    Let's get those meds working!

    Feel better quickly, Sadie.

Sadie, I'm glad you got a diagnosis and I hope the treatment quickly helps. A UTI is no fun so I hope you feel much better soon.

Thanks everyone for the thoughts and prayers and mom for providing the update.

I was very happy to hear she ate 2 serving of food this evening and when I got home just a few minutes ago, she ate a little of a third. Maybe we can get back some of those 3 lbs she lost over the last week!

It was also so good to have her come meet me at the door tonight...she hasn't done much of that in the past week. I don't think she is 100% just yet, but the shot made a big difference and I'm sure with a few days of antibiotics she will be her same old self!

I'm sorry that she has a UTI but I'm glad to hear that she's already starting to feel better.
