Computer virus attacks 'to peak next Monday'

Not sure how accurate the report is but it could be just as well to make sure your Antivirus, Firewalls, etc are up to date.

    And be careful out there.

I love linux . Time to start whacking down viruses, hauling out reports to anti-virus companies, etc.

So true. I keep mine updated every two weeks out of fear. Sad that we should have to do that.

Mine is updated every 6 hours I'm online, and does a set of scans, some nightly some weekly. Yeah I'm a bit internet paranoid. lol

Still not enough to make me switch to a Mac.

    Linux, maybe.

Mine does something the same and yes, I'm a little paranoid about it too.

I see most of you who replied do keep protection updated, I just thought I'd pass the info on for others who may not be so vigilant is all.

Heh. Linux was originally a server and development platform, but it is now evolving into a extremely, almost infinitely, expandable desktop system. The fact that my desktop, IMO, looks so good it could beat a mac is quite an achievement.
