    I got the pictures here!

At last! I got the pictures from the camera to the computer.

They came over as ENORMOUS files. I spent a long time reducing each one. Surely there's a more efficient way to do this?!...

Anyway, here are a few pictures of my gang, in order: Elmer, Peony, Poppy, Sydney, and Bob:

    Pat, do you use Photobucket?

If you paste them directly here from your hard drive, yes, they get HUGE.

Made that booboo when I first tried posting pics on PT....

Gorgeous kitties! Bob looks a little fierce, so will go look at his pic thread now.

LOL, I don't think Bob was too happy about having his picture taken.

    Nice to see your kitties.

No, he sure wasn't! That was the day I brought him home, and he got pretty cranky at times. He's only been here about a week and a half now.

Now he is the most mellow fellow imaginable! I have another thread in this forum called "Here's Bobby!" with more pictures of him and more about his personality. (Or should that be "purrsonality?")

Hi Candace, I haven't gotten to Photobucket yet.. that is to be my next project, once I get this putting them onto the computer right.

I didn't paste them here directly from the hard drive.. I copied them over from the camera TO the hard drive, and when I saw how enormous they were, I resized them all, one at a time, BEFORE I came over to PT and attached the pictures to my messages. I didn't think I should upload huge files here and then leave it for anyone who wanted to look at them to have to resize them themselves. I have a graphics application called IrfanView that I use for working with images.

Seems I may have missed out on some things I need to know about getting them from camera to computer.. turns out there is another manual that came with the camera, all about using it with the computer, plus a DVD with I assume software on it to make the task go more smoothly. In addition, a nice person (a.k.a. Freedom) PM'd me about a Windows app that will help with this.

One of these days, maybe I'll get all this down! Meanwhile, I wanted to share some of the pictures I've gotten so far.

Dear little Elmer is as adorable as ever .. See the thread "To my beloved Taccoa" for more pictures of him.

Poppy takes that pose often. Did you notice, she has white whiskers on the light-colored side by her nose and black whiskers on the dark side!

Sydney was probably thinking of Scrappy 2 when I took that picture.

If you are using Windows there is a nifty little tool that can resize one or as many pictures as you wish quickly and easily without losing originals.
    Scroll down to Image resizer.

Thank you, Chris. Sandie (Freedom) also suggested this to me. Thanks to you both, I went ahead and downloaded it. Now I just have to find some time I can spend playing around with it!
