My biggest, bestest adventure yet, by Tehya with pics...

    WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO PT

I had another adventure today. This one was tons of fun! This morning Mom got up early, very weird for a Saturday. She likes to sleep in on Saturdays! She started putting stuff in our truck, stuff like harnesses, lines, food and she put our sled our top of the truck!

Then she put us in the truck! Seven of us anyway! I was in one of those little boxes! It was quite cozy and full of straw and I kinda liked in there! We drove down the highway towards town. Then we stopped and Mom got us out of the boxes.

It was very exciting and we were all barking and bouncing! There was lots of people around!

We took those people for rides! Mostly it was kids going for rides, but some grown-up humans went too! There were four other dog teams there and we kept going around this same trail. It was quite long and went in a circle.

I made a whole bunch of new friends!

    I like those short people!

    More coming!

After we went for a few loops, we stopped for a break and had some snacks and water.

Mom undid our tuglines(those are the ones on the back of our harnesses). We got tangled up! As my Mom likes to say, we were tangled to beat the band. She says weird things!

I was helping Pacer be brave. He was a little afraid of all the people and commotion around.

He got tuckered out before me so Franklin ran beside me for a few loops.

Lookit that weird thing we had to pass! It's a wooly mammoth! We were helping out at a open house for a museum place about mammoths and other ice age stuff and the transportation museum. That's why there were dogsled rides, cuz sled doggers are part of the transportation history here!

I got a few more pictures yet!

My Mom's friend, Ms. Pat, came to be our handler. Her job was to keep us from getting tangled with the other teams while we were waiting to go; keep Anvik from chewing his harness up, cuz he does that when he has to wait to run! And when Mom was out with us, Ms. Pat took care of the two doggers who stayed behind. She gave us treats and water and took pictures too!

Franklin's sisters were there and were running with one of the other teams! This is Gracie...gee, no family resemblence there! They all look just alike! Franklin and Gracie even sound alike when they woooooooooooooooooo. Crazy!

Paxil made very good friends with this little girl. Paxil didn't seem like she was feeling 100% good, so she only came for a couple loops. Then Mom left her behind to lounge in the sun. This little girl spent all afternoon just petting Paxil. They both seemed to enjoy it!

After a whole bunch of loops, we got to lay around for awhile. Mom gave us baited water and snacks.

I wasn't quite as tired as some of the other dogs so I was snooping in the truck!

When we were done our snacks, we got put back in the boxes and we came home! It was a very fun day. Mom said we ROCKED! We didn't cause any troubles; we were nice to all the people who came by; we went around the loop with no troubles, even when we were getting tired. Next year, we will probably go help out too!

Now Mom and I both need naps. Having fun can be hard work too!

    WOOOOOOOO

Tehya, I'm amazed at the fun you have! I am so jealous! It looks like a good day was had by all. By golly Tamara, you sure do have an all white Pacer. I should have known that before I asked you about your friends white dog in your other thread.

Tehya, I just love it when you take your paws to the computer. How else could we ever experience the fun that occurs *way up north* (oops I was starting to sing). I sure would have loved to have taken one of the rides on your sled, but I bet you'd really have been tuckered out after hauling me around.

I hope Paxil is feeling better today. That little girl looks like she is *one of us*...PTers that is. We recognize our own kind. heehee.

Anyway, thank you for sharing your day. Good dog!

Tehya, another amazing adventure. You sure do lead a fun life babydog!

I got comments all the way THROUGH! Mom likes to sleep late on Sturdays? With 25 puppers? Gosh my 4 make sure I get up the same time daily no matter WHAT! Tell me how to train them to recognize weekends!

I made a whole bunch of new friends.
Tehya, you make friends so easily, this line really made me laugh. Friends are wherever you are girl!

Pacer got tuckered out before me.
I do believe ALL the dogs tired before YOU do, lol!

Thank goodness for Ms Pat. What would PT do with no photos of your grand adventure! Hope you gave her some licks and kisses for thank yous. Look at Gracie, aw, she does look like Franklin. What a lovely family they must have been as pups!

Best wishes for Paxil, hope it was just an 'off' day and no big problem.

Thank you so much Tehya (and Tamara) for this exciting story / thread!

Well, we usually still get up at the same time, but Mom just lets us run around in the big yard and she goes back to bed. She just has to remember to let Heyoka in the porch before she lets me out cuz we aren't allowed to play together. Today I didn't get up til 9! I got to sleep on the big bed last night with Mom instead of in my crate. I guess I was tired from all that working after all!

We did, especially Anvik. He really likes that lady! The nice people from the museum gave all the mushers little gift bags too. They got pens, a notepad and some coffee.

Look at Gracie, aw, she does look like Franklin. What a lovely family they must have been as pups!
Hmmm, I think Mom has a picture of them somewhere that Gracie's Mom sent her. Them girls look like Franklin, but they don't act like him. Franklin is kinda shy and not bossy. His sisters ain't shy and they is very confident! I bet they bossed Franklin around lots when they were babies!

    WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Tehya who ain't tired anymore and is going to play outside!

We were supposed to do the rides day a long time ago, but it got cancelled cuz it was too cold. We haven't been out on the sled for a couple weeks, but we hadda go help cuz we promised we would! We are glad we did too, cuz it was lots of fun! Mom says we are done running for this season now. Our trail at home is wrecked and it's getting kinda warm for running.

    WOOOOO
