    It's Starr's 3rd Birthday Tomorrow!!! (3-22-08)

    Hi everyone. My baby boy Starr turns 3 on March 22nd. I can't believe another year has already passed. He doing very well these days and is becoming a very frisky cat. He's still on pred but is now on 2.5mg every 3 days. Soon he'll only take this amount once a week and then hopefully he'll finally be weaned off of it completely. He's still taking his herbal supplements and may need one of them the rest of his life but that's okay with me.

    HAPPY 3rd BIRTHDAY STARR!!! I hope that you'll have many more happy and healthy years ahead of you. I love you Peepers.

    Look what a difference a year makes. Here are a few pictures.

    Starr on March19,2007 after his surgical biopsy. He was very thin and probably only weighed about 7lbs.


    Starr in a similar pose tonight. He now weighs a whopping 12.5lbs.


    Starr again on March 19,2007.


    Starr again tonight. You can still see that most of his belly fur has never grown back. The pred makes it grow back very slowly.


    I'm just so fortunate to have found 2 wonderful vets that have given him the proper care that he needed to become healthy again.

    Happy Birthday beautiful Starr, you sure are getting better. I don't like seeing the pictures of you all thin, you're much better fat and cuddly.

    It's been quite a year hey Starr. But this is gonna be a great year for you buddy boy. Happy Purrthday sweetheart. Have a wonderful happy and health year and see if we can avoid giving meowmie any new grey hairs ok.

    Thanks, he's taking it because he had severe diarrhea which is caused by his colitis and he most likely also has the food allergy form of IBD.
