    Porch puppy

This little girl showed up at my grandparents house about a month ago and they have been taking care of her. She lives in their fenced in back yard. Someone dumped her I believe, you could tell by looking at her hair that she had a collar on and I believe someone took it off. By the way she acted I think she must have been under a year old. She was still mouthy sometimes when she played and her teeth were very white. She is also very funny too because she is always "talking" she is constantly whining and yipping at you. I think she is mostly chocolate lab what do you think? She is about 50-60 pounds I believe. Her ears are usually forward but she was scared to death of the camera and refused to look at it most of the time. lol

She always has her paws crossed when she lays down

She knew how to fetch and she also loves to swim

She's a beauty. It's so hard to believe people dump their dogs. What could she have possibly done wrong? Look at that face. I'm glad your folks are taking good care of her. What's in her future? A keeper?

Yeah they are going to keep her. My grandmother is tossing around the names Chloe, Roxy, Gabby, and Coco. I don't know why people would dump an animal. My grandmother lives in the country so people have dumped cats and dogs at her house several times. Sometimes though they get hit by a car before she finds them.

I do hope your Grandparents did everything they could to find her owners, scanned for a microchip, checked local shelters (and not so local) etc. Dogs do get out and can appear 'abused' and 'neglected'.

I totally agree with cloverfdx, especially since you have indicated that she is living in the backyard and is a "porch" dog. Do everything possible to see if there is a family out there that wants to share their home with her. She is very cute.

She put up found posters in town and where the dog was found. She asked her neighbor where the dog spent some of her time and they said the dog just showed up one day. I really think she was dumped.

Real beauty...I can see some chesapeak in her, and probably brown lab. Your gramma has a heart of gold for taking this poor dog in if no one claimed her. We live in an area where lots of dogs get dumped off also....don't understand some people.

She's so pretty! I hope her owners or a new family can be found for her.
