    Immature Teenagers

Some of you may remember when I posted a while back about some boys who kept coming to our house and ringing our doorbell at 12, 1.. sometimes 2:30 in the morning and driving off. They've also taken our garbage bags and opened them up on our lawn.

We figured out who it was eventually - and called his house at 2:30 in the morning after the most recent knock-knock-ginger. His mother flipped on us, but my mom spoke to the boy and he eventually confessed when she threatened him with the police.

Well, tonight they all came back at 8 and took our pumpkin and smashed it.

I've had it. I DO NOT want to play the nice person anymore. I'd like to get them back, but of course, that's the stupid side of me. I feel like I shouldn't stoop down to their level, but another part feels give them a taste of their own medicine.

I just ticks me off and I kind of feel violated when they come on to OUR property and do crap like this to us. They are 17 years old. Someone needs to kick their arses.

I don't know what to do about this. They have some kind of thing against me because I got his sister in trouble or something when she bullied be for two years psychically. Or because he's always just been a dink to my sister.

The cops probably won't do crap because we have no "solid" evidence that it's them.

Anyway... I guess this was just a rant. Sorry! lol

I would call and at least have the police call and talk to him, maybe it would scare some sense into him. Please don't stoop to his level I don't want you to get hurt.

Videotape it and make copies so if they ever get their hands on the tape, you won't be left empty handed. See if this classifies as trespassing and see what you can do legally from there. I would even go so far as to call this harassment, imo. Then, confront the parents and, heck, I wouldn't even be scared to contact the school either. Depending on the principal, s/he might classify this as harassment, too, and you can possibly expel/suspend him. If you don't feel safe around this kid, your school has an obligation to rectify the situation (at least, that's how it is over here).

I was actually thinking about going to his school and putting in a complaint there about his behaviour. However, he doesn't go to my school so..

I thought about typing up a note, saying something like this (read below) and putting it in his mailbox.

"Thought we wouldn't catch you in the act, eh? Well, I now have video evidence of what you have been doing, that show your face. We've told you already to stop, and told you we will go to the police. If there are any further incidences, these video tapes will be going to the police. This is your final warning."

Maybe it'll scare him? Sometimes I am afraid it will just intrigue him even more, though. =\

Don't write a note, that is just as silly as they are being.

Your mother should call their parents and make it very clear that if it continues, you will go to the police.

Call the police. If he confessed to your mom, he's certainly going to confess under their grilling. This is definitely harassment. Take pictures of the trash all over the lawn and pumpkin, etc to show evidence of the physical destruction.

I saw really inexpensive cameras with sensor control at Sams Club. I thought of getting it myself when our cars were being egged last year (never did figure out who it was ) It was under $100 at the time. I'm sure it doesn't take the greatest images at that price, but its at least something and something is better than nothing.

Yes, i would get an camera and take an video of them in the act. Then i would take the video to the poliece and call the kids school principal. They have some really great dvd camcroders at Walmart.com for under $500, here is an example: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...uct_id=5623015

I would would not want to be the lower person here and lower down to their level. Call the police and tell them about this. Or go to their house at 2:30 in the morning and have a little talk with his/hers parents see what they will do.

Either video them, there's tons of cameras around. Saw a bunch at London Drugs this past weekend that were really cheap. Or, get a paint ball gun and tag them. Pretty hard to dispute paint.

First of all, these are not children, they are teenagers and they are trespassing. I'd call the cops and file a report so it's on the record. Keep calling the cops whenever they do something. Believe me, the cops will get tired of this crap real quick.

whether yo have solid proof or not you NEED to file a report for each incident, or atleast the last one and any others. you NEED it on record for when you do get proof! I'm sure they would confess if they did after your mums threatening.

Not to forget our little foster dog Velma Dinkley!
