    Dominic turns 1!

    My grandson turned 1 today - how lucky we are to have him in our family. We had a party at my mom's yesterday. Dominic had a special birthday surprise - his dad showed up on our doorstep yesterday morning. This is Brian's leave before he leaves for Iraq. He was not supposed to be home until next weekend but somehow he managed to get a few extra days and was able to be home for his son's first birthday. Tomorrow I will put up pictures - it has been a crazy weekend for us.

    When Dominic was born last year, I was very leery of him being born on the 22nd. That was the first anniversary of our son's funeral. The saddest day of our lives but now a new person to love! I just wasn't sure you could celebrate and grieve at the same time. But it is possible.

    I did not know Dominic shares Karen's birthday. How special is that! Happy Birthday, Dominic and Karen!

    Oh what a blessing little Dominic is for your family! I know it was hard to accept his birthdate at first, but I think with every passing year you will feel more blessed! What a wonderful surprise for his Daddy to make it to his 1st birthday!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

    We celebrated his birthday on Saturday but Sunday was his real birthday.

    He had fun with Jasmine's golf set


    So the idea is to hit that little green ball huh,


    Christy got some good videos of him playing golf. Maybe I will learn how to post videos so you can see the next Tiger Woods.

    What a handsome little fellow he is. Obviously it was a happy day for the birthday boy. Jasmine is gorgeous!!! My wish for both these children is to keep their father safe.

    Happy Birthday Dominic Both of your grandkids are just beautiful.
    Very angelic looking. Hope their Dad comes back soon to enjoy them
