A little boy is attending his first wedding with his parents. He's been instructed in advance about using his inside voice. The wedding ceremony gets underway and the boy watches solemnly.
After a few minutes, the little boy leans over to his mother and whispers: "Mommy, who is that lady dressed all in white?"
His mother responds: "Honey, she is the bride. She is being married today. Isn't she pretty? She gets to wear a beautiful white gown because this is the happiest day of her whole life."
The little boy thinks for a moment, then leans over to his mother again and asks: "Then why is the man next to her dressed in black?"
