    Bear the Prairie Dog

    Just look at you. Aren't you the cutest thing? And it looks like you just love to have your tummy rubbed.

    I don't think I have ever see a prairie dog as a pet. You have to be the cutest thing I have seen in a long time. Congratulations are definitely in order!

    Bear you are so adorable! I didn't even know people could own Prairie dogs, but you certainly look like a wonderful pet And you sound like a very smart prairie dog too!

    BEAR! What a cutie you are! I had no idea Prairie Dogs could be kept as pets - are they legal in your part of the country? and that you could live for such a long time. You are the cutest thing EVER! I also love that Karen put your YouTube video up too. It was fun seeing you jump for your treats and to hear your mommy laughing when you fell on your little tush from the excitement of jumping for a treat

    That video was too cute! Congrats on being POTD!!! Prarie dogs rock!

    Just FYI everyone, prarie dogs are now illegal due to the whole monkey pox outbreak. You can no longer purchase them as pets, trade, sell or give them away. It's a shame. I've always wanted one. I've heard they make great pets.
