    Horsey Horsey pictures! (*4 pics*)

I took these pictures a couple weeks ago and thought I'd share. Too bad the sky came out over-exposed

Why do horses have so many flies attracted to them?

OMG, I have problems with the flies when I go riding. A lovely horse I ride, Dennis, seems to be plagued by flies wherever he goes! Whether it's his colouring, I don't know, because the other horses don't seem to get as many flies as he does. You know when he has a fly on him when you ride him, because he puts his ears back and does little bucks, then you've gotta play 'hunt the fly on the horses body and then whack it'. And another horse I used to ride had a deformed tail, and she could not whack the flies away. They really irritated her, and one time I was riding her, she reared up! That was scary, but fun in a strange kind of way . And the horsefly always seems to be a monsterous creature, with huge clawed legs that don't seem to let go of things, and a massive fat body and a very painful bite (having been bitten many times myself). They are so annoying!

Why do horses have so many flies attracted to them?
I think its the smell of them and because of where they are located. They wouldnt be covered in flies if they were in the city or something like our dogs.
But most horses are kept where there is long grass and woods where most flies, moquitos, horse flies ect are.
Usually when I go to get the horses out of the pasture the flies attack me too there sooo annoying!!!

    nice pictures do you ride?

Aww I love that last pic but there all good.

I always thought fly's liked going onto animals eye balls or somthing because In nature movies it seems thats where they always go or In there poop but I dout your horse rolls In its poop altho some animals so that.

Give your horse a mud bath that shall keep thoe bugs away but then you have to clean the horses alot lol.

I love your horses and you take really good pictures!

I've never knew why flies were so attracted to horses. I think it's because of their smell or something.
