    San Diego Zoo pics

Was going to post this in the Meetings thread but thought more people would see them here. The day before the party I visited the zoo with Sara and Gini.

Forgive me but I can't remember any of the panda's names. This is Momma. She was sleeping in the funniest position. That's a tree branch in her armpit.

Baby panda asleep in a tree.

The only active one was Daddy and he was in full view.

A Khoala. How can these guys possibly be comfortable sleeping like this??

We had some lunch there. Mz Gini.

    Sara

That's it. I took lots of other pictures of big cats but it was through wire fences and they didn't turn out very well.

I've heard about the San Diego Zoo all of my life. It's undoubtedly one of the most highly acclaimed zoos in the country. I can see why. It's absolutely beautiful. Those pictures are fantastic. I bet you ladies had a wonderful time too

Slick I finally managed to find the panda pics I told you about. The video I have actually shows her moving around playing but I have no way to get it onto the computer so hopefully these will do...

These are pics taken a few years ago now of the San Diego zoo's first panda, I managed to get lucky and get in I think about a month before the general public so I got some really good pics. The last 2 were taken by a friend during her trip to China..

Awww, what great pictures, you got some really good shots!! The pandas are so cute - isn't it amazing they can sleep like that!

Pnance, I'd like to hear the story behind that "kitty" picture. (I can only load the top half)

    Thanks for sharing.
