    International Balloon Fiesta *pics*

    Hello everyone!

We're back from our vacation. We had a great time and I didn't realize how much I would miss PT, but wow ! I couldn't wait to get back and post pics.

The weather didn't cooperate with the balloons very much, but I got what I could.

    Enjoy.

Beautiful images, and some of the baloons are just gorgeous! Some day I will go for a ride in a hot air balloon - the one time I was supposed to get a free ride in one, the event got rained out but that's why they don;t hold hot-air balloon festivals in our area - not enough wide open flat space, and the weather's a tad, shall we say, unpredictable?

Yes, it is a lot of balloons, but just to put things into perspective, that was only the first wave of balloons to go up that day. Only those you saw were able to get up. In total, there were 800+ that were registered to go up that day. I didn't get to see any of the special shapes with the exception of that blue dinosaur thing, but it never left the ground because of the wind.

WOW!! That's amazing to see all those balloons!!

We used to see alot of hot air balloons in this area on the weekends. I miss them.

I've never seen that many all in one area. How cool! Thanks for sharing them with us.

Great pictures and I love the contrast of the bright blue sky and the colors of balloons. Is this the festival they have in New Mexico every year? I have friends that live in Albuquerque that get the thrill of seeing this every year...If they manage to get up at 4 A.M!

Actually, they do have a cow shaped balloon, but because of the wind, it didn't go up.

Yes, every year! Usually around my b-day. I like to think all of those pretty ballons are there for me.
