what color?!?! I have a black himi you know him of course, and If I am ever alowed to have another bunny it would be a nice lilac doe to breed so we have lilac himis! I am so gelous of you, you get to have so many bunnies!
Click here for text info (sorry the pics and background are not loaded yet)
I am buying him a little tote carrier that looks like a purse so if I have to I can take him places inside

i also have a black himi! oh, yah! i forgot you have one! that is so cool. your looks EXACTLY like mine! we are breeding her next spring for show or 4h purposes. i know, my dad and i love rabbits, they are such peaceful creatures. (if treated right) too bad you cant have more than one. but its great you have one beautiful little guy! thats so cute about the tote carrier. i think mine would be too afraid. i dont know her that well yet, but i am learning.

yes thats wat i thought too..... let me tell you first if you are gonna breed her do it to the SAME breed and wait till shes at least a year, DONT let her near any of your other rabbits for her sake and her babies we dont need more mutt rabbits, also only breed her ONCE or twice a year no more! that is being a RESPONSIBLE breeder and stop her breeding at age 4 no later or it could kill her any ways congrads on her
o and if u got her from a pet store or somethign shes prolly not showing standards wich means she shouldnt be bred...dose she have papers? where did u get her from?
Oh, yes, you MUST have a pedegree and registered ear tatoo. Oslo's is R19.

ok, well we got her from an auction. we wont show her, but her babies will be show quality. we will get another himalayn dwarf for the father. we are still thinking about it. i didnt mean to make ppl hate me for saying that. we will have homes for all the babies if we do breed her. they will be homes that show rabbits, as those ppl ussually know alot about rabbits. maybe i wont. but dont hate me just because we might have kits for 4h purposes. i know having 'mutt' rabbits was wrong, and i really regret it. and yes, she does have papers. i dont know why someone would bring their show rabbit to an auction!

Yes we used to own a netherland dwarf black rabbit named Lickrish, she was my son's pet, however they are supposed to make great pets, but she never was the nicest rabbit in the world, a tad grumpy sometimes., still we loved her all the same, she was a cutie, we got her as a baby.![]()

i dont hate you and i dont think everyone else dose either were just really trying to help you make the animal world alot better and better for your rabbit i was talking to a bunny freind and this is some advice shes givin...
here are some quick facts on breeding. Does that are going to bred should be bred before they are 8 months old. Otherwise, they get too old to safely have babies and complications could arise (parallel-a 50 yo women having a child for the first time). Does can be safely bred up to 8 times a year, that would give them 6 weeks rest inbetween litters. However, I don't advise that. Most breeders I know only breed their does at most 4 times a year.
so i think shes means her first time being bred should be 8 months not a year like i said..oops, and i now just how you feel about the taking back breeding the mutts i feel the same way,but whats done is done i guess and umm also she said to find homes for your babies BEFORE breeding them i would take her to a show first and talk to some other breeders/ showers and ask if shes breeding quality and then when/if you get a male then you should do the same also instead of having to buy another rabbit you could also while your at a show find a stud rabbit and pay a stud fee instead of having to pay to keep another bunny
again just trying to help seeing as your young and seems your dad listens to you
yes, next show you can even walk right up to someone with a really nice rabbit and offer a fee for stud service, if you are nice and your doe is of good quality you should be able to just stick the doe in the buck's cage and most rabbits will breed right away. Don't put the buck in the doe's cage though. What is her show name? I think I will get to help name Oslo's kits but he was already regestered as REZAC/STELZER R19 when Monique brought him back from her mom's.

well.... we dont have a registerd name quite yet. her pet name is daisy. i dont know if i wanna go through all the finding studs on paying and stuff. i will just tell my dad not to breed her. thanks for the info though!
buttercup132: and when i asked my dad first to get a rabbit, we both knew nothing AT ALL about them. i did my research, and learned so much about them. i enjoy learning new things about animals. and just love rabbits. but i knew most ppl think rabbits are these cuddly fluff balls that just love everyone! one kid at school told me his brother didn't like his rabbit, so he put the rabbit in a bag and tied it up to a rocket. (the ones that explode when they get in the air) and sent the poor thing with the rocket up in the air. how cruel!!!!!! i think he was lieing though. anyways, we would never breed our rabbit that much! prolly 3 months in between. but, i dont think we'll have anymore kits. our rabbit, cocoa, is such a good mom, but thats enough for her life time. and any rabbit for that matter.
