    aloe vera juice

Oh, my gosh, it's awful! I got some today to try, and, it's hard to drink! I did a half and half concoction of it and some pink lemonade, and, wow. It's still pretty rough. I plan to force it down anyway, because I've heard good things about what it can do for your health and overall well being. Has anyone else ever drank it? What has it done for you if you have drank it? And, any ideas for what else to mix it with would be greatly appreciated.

well, the juice comes from the gel, as far as i know. i use aloe on my skin, too, it's not at all the same. it's not as bad as like taking medicine or anything, but, it's not yummy, either. i'm willing to try it, though, and, i think i just have to dilute it a little more. a serving is just a standard 8 ounces, and, if i just put 16 oz of lemonade, that makes it fine. for what i've heard of the benefits, it's worth it. it's much easier than a lot of other things that are good for you, i know that much. and, whatever i can do, i'll try. it's all natural and organic, too, so, i love that. i'm just trying really hard to care about my body, because i've never really cared before.

i never heard of drinking Aloe vera juice? But ijust started to drink a shot of Wheat Grass a week. it tastes like peas and grass( not very good). But, One ounce of that equals to a pound of veggies.

I had a freind who used to drink it claimed it cured her diabetes. I don't know for sure as she was killed in a car wreck. She drank it with orange juice. something sweeter than lemonade.

Aloe Vera is great for lots of things, but I don't even imagine drinking it!!!

Having it with orange juice is a good idea. Maybe you start to enjoy drinking it!

My mom started drinking Aloe Vera juice to resolve issues with Acid Reflux. The scar tissue kept closing off her esophagus. She had to have a couple of procedures to widen it, so she could swallow, without choking.

A friend told me about an uncle who had the same issue and fixed it with Aloe Vera. So my mom decided what the heck. She was ready to try anything. And Dang! if it didn't work. She hasn't had any stomach issues since taking it.

That's awesome! It makes sense that it's healing powers would work internally as well as externally. How cool. It wasn't so bad to drink when I diluted it more with the lemonade. I will definitely drink it next time with orange juice. I don't usually have stomach problems, but, it seems like a good thing to do for myself. I'd never even heard of drinking it before, but, I saw the jug, and, read the label. Figured it couldn't hurt to try, and, it was less than five dollars for a sixteen-serving jug.

kari in NZ there is an aloe vera juice product that has manuka honey in it, I tryed a sample of it, you only need around 40 mls per day to get the health benefits, and it is quite expensive, it was not lovely to drink, but certainly not as bad as taking a cough medicene or even close, so maybe you should try and get that.

I am very interested in trying it long term as I suffer from IBS and also have gastric reflux disease, and it is mean't to be very good for both these problems, not to mention many other conditions.

I wonder if taking the juice with another juice such as orange or lemonade would lessen the health benefits from it, just wondering?

Well, I think this is the route I'm going to go if I'm to make aloe vera juice a part of my nutritional routine. I can't do anything expensive right now, and, it doesn't sound like the stuff with honey tastes any better than without, from your description. And, one of the cool things about this is there is no sugar in it.

The bottle itself recommended drinking it on ice or with another juice, so, from what I have read there and online, it's fine to mix it with another beverage. I was able to drink it just with lemonade, and, it'll probably even be easier with something like oj.

Actually kari I really did not find it that bad, I could easily just take it on a tablespoon twice daily no problem, but if you find it ok to take with another juice and it recommends it , then go for it.

It retails at 29.95 a bottle here that is about 1.5 litres which would last around six weeks, that is why I am not taking it, but I would like to try it and see if it really works for me.

Yeah, this stuff isn't that bad, it's just not yummy. And, it was five bucks for 16 servings, which is actually more expensive than if $30 will buy six weeks worth. But, is what you took all natural and organic? I just don't want a lot of extra junk in it. That's why I am drinking this, too, because I've been going towards as much of an all natural nutritional routine as I can do.

Absolutely natural and organic from a health food store, I would not be interested in anything else either.. let everyone know if you feel any benefits from it won't you?
