I have a rottweiler. I had him for about a year and 2 months. He is a wonderful dog, but I just got gerbils. He is now really jealous and i don't know how to stop him from being jealous. Is there a way to stop him from being this jealous. I did try to show him, but he keeps whining and barking at them. What can i do?? Please help!

First of all, welcome to PT!

Well, I think perhaps your dog sees the gerbils as something to hunt and eat, not as a pet... so, you should try to continue showing them to him, and with time he starts to don't care about them. If he's jealous, try to be with him, play and that things, so he can see that you still love him! I dont know what else you can do...

I agree, keep showing them to him, maybe even pet him and put your hand in the cage and pet one of the gerbils?
