Pics from Quarry today (dial up beware)

Sorry about the size of these. When I'm planning to post pictures, I generally save one larger copy for my web page and smaller copies for posting, but I hadn't really planned on posting these. When I was done with my cropping and saving etc., I decided some folks might really enjoy them (but didn't want to go back and resize/resave again) so I'm going to post some of my favorites from my walk at Quarry this morning with the dogs. Hope you enjoy.

I believe these are pin cherries.

Checking out an interesting smell. I loved the way the sun looked coming down through the trees.

This looks like a prairie but it is actually a wetlands area, which is why a floating bridge spans across it. There were a lot of wildflowers in bloom this time.

What a beautiful place you get to visit! I would love to see that place. So many pretty things. Tommy looks so happy and Tasha is just as sweet as ever. You had a beautiful day for it. I love the forest ones, too. It looks almost magical. Glad you decided to put them up.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

Jessica, I hope you don't mind, but I saw that last picture of Tasha and thought that it really was "Mommie's Desk" material... so I did a little photoshopping and got rid of the leash. It looks awesome now, almost looks professional. I really hope you don't mind or don't get offended because Abby has to stay on the leash too, and I photoshop the leashes out all the time.

All in all, I just hope you don't mind I messed with the picture a little. If you like it, I'd be more than happy to do it in other pictures as well.

Goodness no, I'm not offended in the least Megan, thank you! You can mess with any of the pics you like, I'm not really worried about that kind of thing . I guess the only time I'd be alarmed is if I saw one of my pics show up in a magazine with someone else taking credit .

Both of them are so good, if it's early and there aren't many people around I let them drag their leashes, but they both have a pretty flawless recall (helped by the hotdogs I always keep on me ), I still wouldn't want to completely unleash them though just in case. I really do love that picture of her.

I take pics every time I go out there which is quite frequently, so I don't always post all the pics I get, but after I had all these saved I just really felt it was a particularly good bunch and decided to share them. So glad people are enjoying them . Thank you for the compliments! It was a beautiful walk.

    Ok, whew!

Abby isn't so good on the return, she'll only come back once she's completely pooped and doesn't care. Once she's let go (we do it in this one field/trail thing) she runs and runs and runs. Usually if she gets too far ahead of us she will stop and wait, but not let us catch her until she's done. :P

I'm just seeing these pics this morning Jessica. They are breathtaking. Such beautiful clarity and your choice of scenery is second to none. Of course Tasha and Tommy look great as always. Thanks for making our morning!
