    My youngest rescue "Jack"

While I was driving down a rural country road, my "kitten radar" heard Jack's cries over the car noise and I stopped to find him laying in the middle of the road. He was still wet from birth with the birthing sack still around him. His mother just dropped him out and left him, as with the rest of the litter a neighbor found dead. I took him home, hiding him in my pocket as I tried to sneek past my husband...because he was my 5th rescue kitten I was bringing home. I heard him say, oh no what do you have? Nothing to worry about I answered back!
That was the start of hourly feedings, enemas, and a great pleasure to my life! Jack has been my baby since then, and I wouldnt know what to do without him!
The top picture is Jack the day he opened his eyes, and the bottom is Jack at the birdcage being naughty!

What a lucky find! Jack is adorable, and I'm sure if he's anything like my bottle babies, he's a lovebug too. Welcome to Pet Talk.

Lucky, lucky Jack! What luck for him (and you!) to find each other and what a good meowmie you have been to him.

He is a handsome fellow, that's for sure!

How adorable! I am so glad his fate was better than the others. Some young mom cats just don't know what to do with their babies. How old is he now?

Jack will be 5yrs old in September. When he was younger he always had a problem with a couple of the pads on one paw cracking open and becoming inflamed and infected. This would clear up, and it would start on another paw. Then everything would clear up for a couple of months, and the cycle would start all over again. The vets were stumped over this, so I never knew what the problem was. It hasnt happened in over a year now so I'm hoping he has out-grown what ever it was! Has anyone ever heard of this happening before? Just wondering.
