    The cat show(pics)

For those of you who are wondering how the cat show went this past Saturday, I am here reporting in. On the postive side, we did sell some, although it wasn't as many as I had hoped for. We sold three big fish beds. I was hoping that we would at least sell enough to cover the cost of the materials but as of yet we haven't. There is another cat show in October and one in December so I am going to look into what the booth rental fees are at those. The one in December might be out best bet if the booth rental isn't too expensive. It will be held in Louisville at the fairgrounds on the same weekend as the big Christmas show so hopefully would draw a better gate than the one in Elizabethtown. I did get some pics though from the show and of course it was fun seeing all the cats although I couldn't hold any of them which was absolute torture for me!

I did get a few pics of one fo the ahppy kitty cutomers in his new big fish! he was sooo cute! his mom brought him up to the table and he immediately started crying to get in one and held out his paw and tried to jump from her arms into one of the big fish! He wanted to get in one so bad that his mom just had to buy him one and then he was so happy! His name is Crackers.

I'm glad to hear that you first attempt at the cat shows went well. Even though you didn't sell as many as you would have liked, you planted a *seed* People will remember you and you will get more customers the next time.

Good luck, and I know you will do well.

Thanks for posting kitty-show pictures !! All the kitties were beautiful and it IS torture that you cannot pet each and every one of them!!

I'm glad that you had a good time at the show. I always have a great time when I go. The fish bed sure is cute and I'm glad that you were able to sell a few of them. The pictures you posted are great and all of the cats are gorgeous. Thanks for sharing these with us.

Melissa - I am sure you will sell more and more now that people have seen your beds (and mom's of course!) Some folks may have wanted one and will buy next time.

I loved the pretty Scottish Fold and Sphinx pictures especially!

Will you give us specifics on the Louisville show? We have been wanting to plan a trip there to visit CCL anyway

Crackers is beautiful! Wow, and, that dark brown cat (is that a havana brown, sorry I don't know cat breeds that well!). The orange one, too, is that a maine coon? he's wonderful! And, the sphynxes are gorgeous! Great photos!

EDITED: now that I look at Havana Brown cats online, that one here doesn't look as sleek as the ones I keep seeing.....hmmm....anyone have any ideas what he is?

Finn, he or she is a Burmese.

Thanks so much all of you for your support!

    Debbie,
i will look up the dates on the Louisville show and let you know. I know it is ususally the first weekend in December. Where is CCL located? If booth rental is too high and I decide not to have a booth there maybe we can all meet at the cat show.
